Fly through space with a blob armed to the teeth and take down your opponents.

In “Armed and Gelatinous: Couch Edition” you take control of a colorful blob and face up to three other players or bots in open arena battles. There are 9 different modes to choose from: In addition to classics such as Death Match (score based) and Last Blob Standing, there are special modes that incorporate elements of football or dodgeball. Regardless of the selection, the same principle always applies: it gets hectic, you face a lot of bullets and there can only be one winner at the end.

A special feature of the game is the dash mechanic, which you can use to dodge attacks or steal your opponents’ weapons. For the latter, you have to ram them in a specific manner. In the heat of battle, the game quickly becomes chaotic. This makes the use of the dash mechanic quite challenging, especially since you have to charge it beforehand. That’s why most players tend to shift their focus to the accumulation of an insane arsenal of weapons. You can’t dodge away when you are faced with a ridiculous amount of bullets … right?

“Armed and Gelatinous: Couch Edition” is a hectic party game that deliberately focuses on over the top action. Do you like fast-paced arena battles that sometimes rely more on luck than wits? Then this game is definitely worth a look.
