Toodee and Topdee

Take on the roles of Toodee and Topdee as they solve puzzles from two different perspectives.

Toodee and Topdee have to bring the universe back into the right balance. To do this, they move in two different perspectives: Toodee is seen from the side and Topdee from above. In the game you can switch between both characters (and views) at any time. For example, you can pause while jumping with Toodee and place the appropriate platform for landing with Topdee. In coop mode, each character is controlled by one player and they take turns.

The concept is clever and creatively explored in multiple worlds. Each world features an interesting twist—and a huge boss monster at the end. The difficulty level of the puzzles is moderate at first, but increases noticeably towards the end. Sometimes you’ll have to experiment quite a bit, but when you find a solution after a lot of trial and error, it always feels satisfying.

“Toodee and Topdee” is based on an extremely clever idea, brought to life by good level design and garnished with an optional coop mode. Do recommend.

Why you should play it:

• Clever core idea and interesting level design with many “aha” moments.
• If needed, you can activate additional abilities and an option for more health. Both reduce the difficulty level.
• Can be played alone, but it’s also good with two people.

Most couch co-op games require one gamepad per player (DualShock 4, DualSense, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller etc.), but sometimes you can share gamepads (PS5, XBOX Series X/S), use a single Joy Con (Switch) or let at least one person utilize a keyboard (PC). Please note: We can’t guarantee that your specific setup works with “Toodee and Topdee”.

Remote Play Together (Steam) allows you to share local multiplayer games with friends over the internet. Only the host needs to own the game. The service is free.
