Take control of colorful warriors and fight your way through hordes of monsters to save a princess.

“Castle Crashers” is a colorful hack and slash game. You choose one of four different classes, each with their own magic spell, equip a strong weapon and fight your way through a flood of enemies. The story isn’t very sophisticated, but it is presented in an entertaining way and sprinkled with some (rather weird) humor. It all starts with a big party in your home castle, which is interrupted by a barbarian attack. A wizard kidnaps some princesses and you need to save them!

On your way, you kill enemies, level up your character, unlock better weapons, kill some more enemies, level up your character again and unlock even better weapons. The combat system is enjoyable and the different worlds are well designed. The best thing in “Castle Crashers” are the animal orbs, though. You can collect several different ones, each of them allows you to spawn a unique animal, which makes your character better in some way or another. Oh and they’re cute, too.

“Castle Crashers” is a must have for fans of coop adventures who like to fight all kinds of enemies with swords, bows and magic weapons.

Why you should play it:

• There is a wide variety of weapons, tems and enemies to fight.
• The combat system is well made and you are constantly unlocking new weapons and abilities.

Most couch co-op games require one gamepad per player (DualShock 4, DualSense, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller etc.), but sometimes you can share gamepads (PS5, XBOX Series X/S), use a single Joy Con (Switch) or let at least one person utilize a keyboard (PC). Please note: We can’t guarantee that your specific setup works with “Castle Crashers”.

Remote Play Together (Steam) and SharePlay (PSN) allow you to share local multiplayer games with friends over the internet. Only the host needs to own the game. Remote Play Together is free. SharePlay requires a paid PSN subscription and is limited to 60 minutes per session and a maximum of 2 players.
