Dunk Lords

Engage in an arcade version of basketball with wacky characters and over-the-top special moves.

“Dunk Lords” is a hectic basketball game with three distinct game modes: Story, Gauntlet and Arcade. The story mode can be played alone or with a friend. The rather shallow, but neatly presented story is told in short cutscenes that lead to the individual matches. In Gauntlet mode (1–2 players) you try to win 4 matches in a row and achieve the highest score possible. Both modes are fun and well suited for getting to know the game mechanics.

However, the core of the experience is definitely the arcade mode. In this mode you can compete with up to 4 people (or bots) for control of the ball, use powerful attack moves and execute devastating dunks. At your disposal are 20 characters with different abilities and a whole range of venues. The controls are easy to use and offer enough depth to allow for some tactical decisions. Furthermore, you can collect money during the game rounds to unlock additional abilities.

“Dunk Lords” is a wacky and fast-paced arcade title that (surely not unintentionally) reminds us of the classic “NBA Jam”. It could be a bit too hectic for some people, but if you like basketball and want to compete with your friends, you should definitely check it out.

Most couch co-op games require one gamepad per player (DualShock 4, DualSense, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller etc.), but sometimes you can share gamepads (PS5, XBOX Series X/S), use a single Joy Con (Switch) or let at least one person utilize a keyboard (PC). Please note: We can’t guarantee that your specific setup works with “Dunk Lords”.
